2023-2024 Stewardship Letter
Dear Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church Family,
Sometimes – and for so many reasons – it is easy to feel overwhelmed. But Jesus, our pilot, says to us:
“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Do we turn in all different directions for fulfillment or guidance? Where can we look for answers? Thanks be to God, we have a roadmap for all that we need and all that we have been created for:
“For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
If you lose your map sometimes, feel discouraged, or you’ve ever felt like you just don’t fit in, this is the place where you can find yourself again. There will always be room for you on God’s vessel!
“Any of you that have ever felt stepped on, left out, picked on, put down, whether you think you are a nerd or not, why don’t you just come on down here and join us, okay. Come on.” (Robert Carradine Lewis – “Revenge of the Nerds” 19:84)
Remember that we have an emergency kit at our disposal, and roadside assistance for the journey ahead. Wherever and whenever, we can give Jesus control of our life and let him show us the way.
Together… we can let Jesus take the wheel!
Will you help us along the journey?
We are all on this journey together and we are not leaving anyone behind. Financially, together, we can make sure that the church remains a vessel for God’s love through supporting the mission of OGPC.
+Have you never made an annual pledge to our church? Great!!! This is the time to start.
+Do you already pledge? Yay!!! Would you consider pledging a little more to support all the beautiful things our church is up to, through the grace of God?
Here are some ways you can continue to support the work God is doing at OGPC:
- Email your pledge amount to the church treasurer at treasurer@ogpc.org;
- Make your pledge online at www.ogpc.org (click on the gold bar on the home page, “Give to Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church” and click on the PayPal button or go to “Give > Pledge Commitment” and fill out the form);
- Pick up a pledge card from the back of the church before or during worship and place it in the offering plate later in the service.
With hope, joy, love, and gratitude for the journey behind and the journey ahead,
Your Discipleship Committee
